Constructive fire protection is designed for different purposes, for example:
- Cable protection. Fire-resistant covers for cables and bundles of wires protect them from high temperatures, molten metal and other temperature influences. The casings also serve as protection against mild mechanical influences.
- Protection of connecting couplings. The fire protection casing is used in the installation of coupling couplings for power cables with a voltage of up to 10 kV. In case of a short circuit in the connection or other accident in the operated coupling, the protective casing localizes the consequences of a fire or explosion.
- Storage and protection of primary fire extinguishing equipment. A fire cabinet is a fire-resistant casing designed to store and protect primary fire extinguishing equipment.
